The European funding part is provided by ECSEL Joint Undertaking
ECSEL is a partnership between the private and the public sectors for electronic components and systems.
The ECSEL Joint Undertaking is established within the meaning of Article 187 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union for the implementation of the Joint Technology Initiative on 'Electronic Components and Systems for European Leadership' for a period up to 31 December 2024.
ECSEL JU offers funding for Research, Development and Innovation projects with unparalleled systemic and strategic impact for smart, sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF)
ESIF resources are jointly managed by the European Commission and the EU Member States according to partnerships agreements and the principle of subsidiarity. Based on this, the EU countries administer the funds decentralized.
The ESIF structure consists of the following funds: European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund (ESF), Cohesion Fund (CF), European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and European Maritime & Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
ESIF offers funding for instance in business, research and development, infrastructure, employment and training, agriculture, forestry and fisheries development, to improve the quality of life of EU citizens.
