Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg
OTH Regensburg is a mediator between fundamental research and industrial practice. A close collaboration between computer science and engineering will be leveraged in iDev40.
The roots of the OTH Regensburg reach back to the 19th century. In 1846 a so-called Lyzeum was founded, which was a royal institute of higher education with the sole focus on teaching structural and civil engineering, becoming a State School of Engineering in 1959. In 1971, the university was founded as "Fachhochschule", with a main focus on practice-oriented studies at the level of an university. In 2013, OTH Regensburg was awarded the title Technical University as one of a handful of UAS (University of Applied Science) in Germany.
