iDev40 Project Results from OTH attract Attention

The Register and golem.de reported about the research work performed and results of the project partner OTH regarding Linux kernel.  In the paper "The Sound of Silence: Mining Security Vulnerabilities form Secret Integration Channels in Open-Source Projects" the authors outline a data-mining scheme that amounts to a side-channel attack on the open-source vulnerability disclosure process.
